Welcome to the University of the Third Age - U3A Bunbury
What is U3A
First developed in France and later in the UK U3A has developed into a major international phenomenon with thousands of local branches and members around the world.
Each branch caters for local membership by providing learning opportunities and fellowship.

News and events
Our Semester 1 2026 program kicked off on Friday 13 February at ECU. All welcome. For meetings held at ECU gather from 9:30am for morning tea (bring a mug) and proceedings commence at 10:00am.

Note our regular Friday meetings are always on the second and fourth Fridays of the month. If a month is lucky enough to have a fifth Friday (eg May 29, July 31, October 30) then an outing is usually scheduled for that day.

May is Cancer Awareness Month, and we all know about “Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea”, which is a very worthy cause. However, Solaris Cancer Care does not receive any money from this fundraiser. Bunbury U3A will hold a “Solaris” morning tea, with some of the food donated by the Kulbardi Café (ECU) and the rest brought to you by members of your Commitee. We will try and raise some extra funds for Solaris, which is one of our local cancer care facilities. So, save some money from
your Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea outing and use it for funds for Solaris. Christine will give us a talk about Solaris and its liaison with E.C.U. and SCENIC (an ECU study in the southwest).
May 29 th – Outing – Visit to King Cottage, followed by lunch at
Sylvana’s Café in the Bunbury Bowling Club

After our visit we can walk over the road to the Bunbury Bowling Club and enjoy a lunch at Sylvana’s Café at our own expense.
